Matthew is a Bristol born actor, now living and working in London. His most recent stage appearances include the UK Premiere of Venezuelan playwright, Gustavo Ott's Your Molotov Kisses, which received 4 star reviews at the Camden Fringe 2018, as well as a new play, Blasphemy by Caroline Buckley, performed both at the Old Red Lion Theatre in October 2018 and at the Tristan Bates Theatre in February 2019.
Matthew trained at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) from 2014 - 2017, gaining acting credits during training including the title role in Roberto Zucco by Bernard-Marie Koltès; Drums Along the Mersey, a new play by Peter Harrison at the Unity Theatre, Liverpool; 3 Winters by Croatian writer Tena Štivičić; Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus and Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, as well as three short films, most recently G String, a short film written by, directed by and starring Matthew.
Matthew has also directed and produced a tour of Stephen MacDonald's Not About Heroes, which travelled to Bath and Rickmansworth, as well as Liverpool, and written and directed his own short play, Manifesto.
